In this tutorial we’ll install Fusion Installer on Kodi 17.x Krypton, before we begin let’s clarify some basic concepts. Fusion Installer is TVAddons’ source directory, it hosts repositories zip files mostly. On the other hand, Addon Installer is a program used to install other addons, it’s a convenient way to install addons using a graphical interface and it now resides inside the Indigo Tool. If you want to use Addon Installer please read our guide How to install Indigo on Kodi.
Adding Fusion to Kodi is the first step to installing other tools and addons developed by the TVAddons team who offers a great selection of legal addons like USTVnow, FilmOn, ITV, LastFM tube and recently took over the development of URL Resolver. URL Resolver is an addon used to play videos from various file hosting website and it’s an important dependency for many popular addons, we’ll talk about URL Resolver later but first let’s install Fusion on Kodi.
Once you installed Fusion you can manually install repositories for lots of great quality legal addons. If you want to do this using a nice graphical interface install Indigo and use Addon Installer, go to fusion > begin-here and click on plugin.program.indigo-x.x.x.zip. After the installation is finished, open Indigo and select Addon Installer.
As mentioned before, URL Resolver is an important dependency for many addons, it’s used to get the playable video link from different file locker sites and it’s automatically installed along the addon that depends on it. If you need to manually install URL Resolver on Kodi go to fusion > kodi-scripts and click on script.module.urlresolver-x.x.x.zip.
