Multi Addon Library Integration with MetalliQ Kodi Addon
MetalliQ is an addon for Kodi that lets you search for content and organize your library independently of other addons. You can use MetalliQ to find movies, TV shows or music and it will let you select the right addon to play them, this is very useful if you have several addons installed and you want to manage all your content from one place.
In this guide we are going to install MetalliQ on Kodi 17 Krypton using Q’s repository on noobsandnerds. Let’s Begin.
MetalliQ is now installed but it won’t find any sources by itself, instead, it’ll use other addons installed on your system to find and play content. In order to interact with other addons, MetalliQ uses small scripts called players. We’ll talk about players in a moment but first let’s go over some basics.
Playing content with MetalliQ
Adding items to Kodi Library using MetalliQ
Selecting an item from the library will open the Selector dialog where you can select your preferred addon, this behavior can be changed and you can set predefined players for specific items using the addon settings.
MetalliQ uses players to interact with other addons, to make sure your favorite addon is supported check the list of verified MetalliQ players.
When you first install MetalliQ it’ll search for other installed addons and it’ll activate their respective players. If you install new addons after MetalliQ you’ll need to make it re-scan for new players.
Patching addons with MetalliQ
Some addons contain blocking code to prevent other addons from calling their functions, MetalliQ can patch some of those addons like Covenant or Elysium and disable the blocking code.
