Quasar Burst enables Quasar to search for torrents on several popular websites, it’s a multi provider addon for Quasar that’s very fast and easy to set up. In this tutorial we are going to install Quasar Burst on Kodi 17 Krypton with Estuary skin.

Quasar hasn’t received updates in a while, it still works but we recommend using Elementum. Elementum is a fork of Quasar, it uses a new torrent engine with extended features like FAT32 support or streaming directly to RAM. Please read How to install Elementum on Kodi or How to install Elementum Burst for more info.

Before we begin you need to install Quasar, follow our guide and come back here when you are ready. If you just installed Quasar you must Restart Kodi before installing Quasar Burst, this will allow Quasar to automatically install its built-in repository. Alternatively you can download the add-on directly from the Quasar Burst official website.

Since automatically installed addons and repositories are disabled by default on Kodi 17, let’s begin by enabling the Quasar Repository.

1. Click the Add-ons tab on the Home Screen. Addons tab on Kodi Quasar
2. Highlight the My Add-ons tab and select Add-on Repositoryinstalled repositories on kodi estuary

Remember that if you’ve been using Magnetic as a provider for Quasar you have to uninstall Magnetic Quasar Connector. You can still use Magnetic via the Magnetizer action. Quasar Burst is very flexible, it can even extract providers from Magnetic.

limit the number of BitTorrent connections to 20 in your quasar settings.

Please don’t use Wifi with a pi in this use case

which pi?

I found on a forum somewhere if you set peer limit to 20, wifi works

I tried that and it worked and my pi stopped crashing over wifi

I have a error “unsupported format character” when quasar searh for providers
