Magicality is a new addon for Kodi based on Resistance which in turn is based on Exodus. Just like its predecessors, Magicality gets its sources from several file hosting websites. In addition to the traditional features like library integration, Trakt.tv support and premium accounts, Magicality supports Lambda Scrapers, an external module with an extensive list of scrapers.
Exodus Redux: New add-on based on Exodus, it uses Lambda Scrapers to get sources from file hosting websites.
Yoda: Based on Exodus, scrapes sources from file hosting websites.
Seren: New add-on written from scratch with very innovative features like playing next episodes automatically, requires Debrid and Trakt accounts.
Elementum: High quality videos using Torrents.
Masterani Redux: Subtitled and dubbed anime.
Plexus: Live sports using AceStream or SopCast.
In this tutorial we’re going to install Magicality on Kodi using its official source, let’s begin.
Allowing unofficial add-ons on Kodi
If this is your first time installing add-ons you must configure Kodi to allow the installation of 3rd-party add-ons.
Enabling Unknown sources will allow installation of 3rd party addons that are not available in the official Kodi repository, we also recommend enabling Show notifications since most addons use them to display important information.
Adding Magicality source
We’ll add a link to Magicality’s source, this will allow us to download the repository zip file directly on Kodi.
Installing Magicality repository
The repository is responsible for installing and updating Magicality when new versions are available.
Installing Magicality add-on
Let’s use the repository to install Magicality on Kodi.
Magicality features automatic subtitles but if you want to install custom subtitle providers or you need more control over the subtitle selection process or please read How to enable subtitles on Kodi.
[Optional] Enable Lambda Scrapers on Magicality
Most video add-ons use scrapers to find video sources on several websites. Magicality has its own set of scrapers but it can also use Lambda Scrapers, an external module with an extensive list of scrapers for add-ons based on Exodus.
If you were using premium accounts before switching to LambdaScrapers you need to clear the cache and reauthorize your premium account.
[Optional] Using Magicality with Real Debrid
File hosters often limit file availability and bandwidth for free users, using premium accounts gives you unrestricted access to several hosters and can greatly improve the speed, quality and quantity of available sources.
In this example we’ll use Real Debrid, a popular service to get access to various file hosters for a very low price.
