2. How to install Ezra on Kodi

2.1. Install Ezra repository
Let’s add a link to Ezra’s source on GitHub, this allows us to download the repository file directly with Kodi.
1. Press the cog icon near the top left corner of the screen.
2. Select File Manager.
3. Press Add Source.
4. Enter https://ezra-hubbard.github.io/ in the top box and ezra on the bottom one. Press OK to add the source.
Now that we added the link, let’s use it to install the repository.
5. Go back to the Settings menu and this time select Add-ons.
6. Click on Install from zip file.

We’re almost done! Ezra is installed on Kodi but we still need to set up a Debrid account or the add-on won’t find any sources.
3. Using Real Debrid with Ezra
Ezra requires a premium account to function properly. It works natively with Easynews and Furk, but it can also use other services like Real Debrid, Premiumize, or All Debrid with its external module called EzraScrapers.
File hosting sites often limit file availability and bandwidth for free users. Using premium accounts gives you unrestricted access to several file hosters and cached torrents, it can greatly improve the quality and quantity of available sources.
In this example, we’ll use Real Debrid. A popular service to get unrestricted access to various file hosters and cached torrents for a very low price.
Before starting, log into your Real Debrid account using a web browser, then follow these steps.
1. Open Ezra and select Settings.
2. Press Settings: Ezra.
3. Scroll down to the Provider Accounts tab and press Open My Accounts.
4. Now select the Debrid Accounts tab and press Authorize.
5. Copy the authorization code.
6. Use a web browser to visit https://real-debrid.com/device/ and enter the authorization code. (You must be logged in with your Real Debrid account).
7. Enter Ezra and press Set that name.
8. Back in Kodi, you should now see your username on the Real Debrid section. Press OK to continue.
The Ezra add-on and My Accounts module will synchronize their settings.
9. Press OK to close the setting menu.
All done! You’re now ready to use Ezra.
Navigate the add-on’s main menu to select a movie or TV show. Once you’ve made your choice, Ezra will show a selectable list of available sources.
10. Select a source to start playing the video.
Ezra features subtitles downloads, but if you need more control over the subtitles’ selection process, please read How to enable subtitles on Kodi.
If you get the “No external scrapers enabled” error after authorizing your Debrid account, you’ll have to re-synchronize the settings between Ezra and My Accounts. Open the add-on and select Settings > Settings: Ezra > scroll down to the Provider Accounts tab > and press (Re)Sync Ezra Settings with My Accounts.
4. Additional Settings
Let’s take a look at some popular features on Ezra. These steps are optional, but they can improve your user experience.
4.1. Using Trakt with Ezra
Trakt.tv is a free service that helps you organize and keep track of your favorite movies and shows. Using a Trakt account is optional, but it is very helpful if you want to sync your watched status across devices.
Ezra can integrate with your Trakt account giving you access to your Collection, lists, and bookmarks.
To use Trakt with Ezra, visit the Trakt.tv website, log in with your account, and follow these steps.
1. Open Ezra and select Settings.
2. Press Settings: Ezra.
3. Select the Meta Accounts tab and press Please visit My Accounts to change settings under the Trakt section.
4. Make sure the Trakt tab is selected and press Authorization…
5. Copy the authorization code.
6. Using a web browser, visit https://trakt.tv/activate and enter the authorization code. (You must be logged into your Trakt account)
7. Press Yes to link Ezra with your Trakt account.
8. Back in Kodi, you should now see your account under Trakt. Press OK to continue.
The Ezra add-on and My Accounts module will synchronize their settings.
9. Press OK to save the settings.
You can now use your Trakt account with Ezra.
Go to My Lists on the add-on’s main menu to access your collection, watchlist, and other lists. Other Trakt options are available inside the Movies and TV Shows categories such as In Progress, Watched, and Next Episodes.
4.2. Auto-play content
By default, Ezra will show a selectable list of sources before playing a video. We can override this behavior and make the add-on select a source automatically.
1. Open Ezra’s settings, scroll down to the Playback tab, and enable Auto Play under the Movies and Episodes sections. Press OK to save the settings.
You can limit the quality of sources and adjust the Next Episode dialog settings to your preference.

Ezra tips mentions editing menus by “pressing context”. I can find no mention of context anywhere. Any help finding it would be appreciated.
Hi! Go to Ezra’s main menu long-press on the an item to open the context menu. You can also open the context menu using the C key.
No tesults on each mooie??
Tried trakt authorization but keep getting error authoriing message.
Hi. Any idea why in kodi 20 cant to open the addon. Install complete but addon can not open. I cant understand the error. In kodi 19 i dont have problem.
Version 20 is still in development and the current builds are unstable. Also, Ezra is on feature freeze stage, meaning it’s being maintained but they’re not adding features right now. I’d recommend staying with Kodi 19 for now.
