Fen is back! After a brief absence, one of our favorite Kodi add-ons is up and running again. As you may already know, Fen allows you to stream movies and TV shows from premium sources. It specializes in services like Easynews and Furk, and it can also work other services like Real Debrid or Premiumize.
This add-on is very fast when browsing through menus and scraping sources. Fen has many interesting features, like its own favorites list, a Discover section to create lists using filters, extra information screen, a context menu with many useful options, cloud storage management, Trakt.tv support, and more.
There are many new under-the-hood changes on Fen. User accounts are now managed internally by the add-on itself, and it uses a new scrapers package called CocoScrapers which is also used by Umbrella. A fresh installation is recommended instead of upgrading the add-on to avoid conflicts with old dependencies.
In this guide, we’re going to install Fen on Kodi 19.4 Matrix. Let’s get started!

2. How to install Fen on Kodi
If this is the first time you install add-ons on Kodi, you’ll have to allow the installation of unofficial add-ons. Please read How to allow 3rd-party add-ons on Kodi and come back here when you’re ready.
2.1. Install Tikipeter repository
Let’s add a link to Fen’s official source, located in the Tikipeter repository on GitHub. This allows us to download the repository zip file using Kodi.
1. Press the cog icon near the top left corner of the Home Screen.
2. Select File manager.
3. Press Add source.
4. Type https://tikipeter.github.io/ on the top box and tiki on the bottom one. Press Ok to add the source.
Now that we added the link, let’s use it to install the repository.
5. Go back to the Settings menu and this time select Add-ons.

On Kodi 19, you’ll see a message about the auto-update feature. Press Yes to proceed.

3. Using Real Debrid with Fen
Fen requires a premium account from Easynews, Furk, Real Debrid, Premiumize or All Debrid. These services can grant you access to file hosting websites, cached torrents, Usenet files and/or cloud storage.
In this example, we’ll use Real Debrid. A popular service to get access to cached torrents and various file hosting websites for a very low price.
When using cached torrents, your device will not connect directly to the p2p network. Instead, Real Debrid will fetch the files on their servers and will make them available for you to download over HTTPS.
1. Open Fen and select Settings.
2. Now press Settings: Fen.
3. Select the Provider Accounts tab and press Authorize under Real Debrid.
4. Copy the authorization code.
5. Use a web browser to visit https://real-debrid.com/device and enter the authorization code. (You must be logged in to your Real Debrid account).
6. Type Fen and press Set that name.
7. Back in Kodi, you’ll see a success message. Press OK to continue.
All done! You’re now ready to use Fen.
Navigate Fen’s main menu to select a movie or episode. Once you made your choice, Fen will show you a list of available sources.
8. Select a source to start playing the video.
Tip: Use the My Services category on Fen’s main menu to manage your cloud storage.
Fen features subtitle downloads, but if you need more control over the subtitles’ selection process, please read How to enable subtitles on Kodi.
4. Additional Settings
Let’s take a look at some popular features on Fen. These steps are optional, but they can improve your user experience.
4.1. Using Trakt with Fen
Trakt.tv is a free service that helps you organize and keep track of your favorite movies and shows. Using a Trakt account is optional, but it is very helpful if you want to sync your watched status across devices.
Fen can integrate with your Trakt account, giving you access to your Collection, lists, and bookmarks.
To use Trakt with fen, visit the Trakt.tv website, log in with your account, and follow these steps.
1. Open Fen and select Settings.
2. Press Settings: Fen.
3. Select the Meta Accounts tab and press Authorize under Trakt.
4. Copy the authorization code.
5. Using a web browser, visit https://trakt.tv/activate and enter the authorization code. (You must be logged into your Trakt account)
6. Press Yes to authorize Fen with Trakt.
Back in Kodi, you’ll see a success notification. You can now use your Trakt account with Fen.
Tip: Go to My Lists on the add-on’s main menu to access your collection, watchlist, and custom lists. Other Trakt options such as In Progress, Watched, and Next Episodes are available inside the Movies and TV Shows categories.
4.2. Auto-play content
By default, Fen displays a selectable list of sources before playing a video. We can override this behavior and have the add-on select a source automatically.
1. Open Fen’s settings and select the Playback tab. Enable Auto Play under the Movies and/or Episodes sections. Adjust the settings according to your preferences and press OK to save the settings.
Make sure you enable Auto Play Next Episode to continuously play episodes.
5. Fen Kodi addon FAQ
Yes, Fen only works with premium accounts.
Usenet is a distributed network of newsgroups where users can post messages and files. These newsgroups are stored and mirrored across many servers around the world. Usenet provides a very fast download speed over a decentralized SSL encrypted network.
Easynews is an Usenet provider, it offers different plans to access Usenet and a zero-log VPN to protect your privacy.
Furk is a personal secure storage service that fetches media files and lets you stream them immediately. It offers many plans to access its cloud servers. You can use it to stream videos or listen to your music from your devices.
File hoster websites often restrict the availability and bandwidth for free users. Debrid services like Real Debrid, All Debrid, and Premiumize offer unrestricted access to file hosters and cached torrents.
Yes. Debrid providers use their servers to fetch the torrent, so your IP address is never exposed to the P2P network. All data between your device and the Debrid provider is encrypted by HTTPS.
